The Canberra Community Chorale is a choir with a proud history. We became an independent community choir in mid 2017 after a previous existence as the University of Canberra Chorale. We offer a friendly welcome to new choristers, both new and experienced, and offer a free two-week trial membership if you are thinking of singing with us. Rehearsals are on Fridays at 12.30 at the Cook Community Hall and run for 90 minutes. We operate within the current ACT COVID-safe guidelines.

Our Music Director is Dan Walker, a composer, conductor and performer who is one of Australia’s leading choral specialists. Our Accompanist is Lucus Allerton, a highly regarded Canberra accompanist.

What does 2021 bring?

The choir did not rehearse for much of 2020 and gave only one concert when conditions eased at the end of the year.  We  plan two concerts in 2021, subject to health restrictions, with two major works by Vivaldi on 27 June. Details will be posted on this website as soon as they are confirmed.
